RAC/MOTO Information Points

The requirement was to design, manufacture and install seventy 'information points' at all fifty one Moto sites in the UK. This involved liaising with both Moto and their partner, The RAC, in gaining design approval and coordinating the installations.

Surveys

To ensure the installations went as smoothly as possible MVM conducted site surveys at all locations, assessing the viability of the proposed locations and suggest new ones where required.

From these surveys it became apparent that a number of sites that required a wall mounted unit, had stud walls which wouldn't have been strong enough to support the units without additional support from the floor.

Problem Solving

After discussions with our client we resolved the potential problem and designed and manufactured a simple, discrete, cost effective floor base that could be retro-fitted if required, which took the load of the walls and though the floor at a number of sites.

Installation

Our installation teams were responsible for installing the information points, connecting up power, connecting the phone line and leaving the site with the information points fully functional.
